Self-realization

This painting is based on a picture taken in Hong Kong Park a few years ago. The expression on his face reminded me of my grandfather, perhaps the ups and downs, joys and sorrows, made and lost friends, kith and kin, and so on, of his life. He was alone, immersed himself in nature, maybe looking for answers to unanswered questions in long, treading life, and making a judgment about himself.
